54,000 LEARNER DRIVERS have received penalty points on their licences before even passing the driving test. The new F10M-spec M5 is downsizing from the E60's 5.0-litre V10 for the same 550bhp 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8 found in the X5M and X6M. But rather than the torque convertor autos used by the SUV pair, the new motor is mated to a beefed-up version of the the seven-speed M-DCT double-clutch transmission currently serving in the M3.
Ford's new Evos concept will make its global debut at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show, showcasing the manufacturer's new One Ford design direction as well as exploring future powertrain and vehicle technologies. The four-door, four-seat fastback concept with a lithium-ion plug-in hybrid powertrain, is designed to engage the driver as much as possible through the use of infotainment and wireless technology.
